Your grandfather's  date of birth was 12th April, 1891. He was born in Civita, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. He was the second oldest of 11 children to  Antonio and his wife Anna Maria Vizza.

2426cab4419d. Perhaps you can translate it, it's in Italian.

There is a public tree on Ancestry, the owner lives in the UK. You may find other relations who could be interested in buying the medal, as previously suggested.

The whistle made by J.Hudson and Co, Birmingham has the date 1943 and the MOD marking.  See previous thread on whistles..
