corisande Posted 21 April , 2019 Share Posted 21 April , 2019 (edited) Thank you very much Looks pretty conclusive that 1. She was born Trinnette Butt 2. Married name Taylor 3. And from all the other evidence died in fact in 1966 Which takes me back to what evidence CWGC had to believe that she died in 1918 And one last question, out of interest where did you find her WRNS enlistment form? I did a search from the her entry on the family tree in ancestry and the documents appeared in public member photos and scanned documents. They were uploaded by a family member (I presume) in 2009. familyhistoryman Posted 22 April , 2019 Share Posted 22 April , 2019 (edited) According to the index of wills Trinette Sophia Taylor died 21 April 1966 and Letters of Administration was granted to Herbert Henry Taylor. Freebmd has a birth registered for BUTT Trinnett Sophia McC In March Q 1892 Tony PS should have mentioned that Herbert Henry was her son born 1920 Edited 22 April , 2019 by familyhistoryman Addition info
corisande Posted 22 April , 2019 Share Posted 22 April , 2019 So let me summarise the proof that the WRNS Trinnette Taylor , who enlisted as G/5184 , did not die in 1918 as in CWGC entry for Brookwood Memorial. There is emphatically "only one Trinnette Taylor" The Service enlistments papers for her (see in post #26 above) show that 1. Her mother was Mrs Butt of 3 Golders Green Road. 2. That Trinnette Taylor was her married name 3. That Trinnette Taylor lived at 53 Kitto Rd, New Cross 4. That her service number was G/5184, the same as on CWGC 1891 Dec 31 Born (from 1939 Register) Her birth registered in Camberwell Jan/Mar 1892 that she was Trinnett Sophia McCluir Butt 1914 Dec 1914. Her Marriage cert (see post above) shows her father was William McCluir Butt, gentleman. And she was living at 86 Drakefell Rd, New Cross, Greenwich at that time. And says she was 22 at the date of her marriage, 1917 son born 1918 Oct 15 Enlisted in WRNS (see enlistment paper on this page) 1920 Another son born 1931 on Electoral Register living in Fulham , Mrs Trinette Sophia Taylor 1939 Register shows her alive and living in Fulham. Gives dob as 31 Dec 1891 1954 on Electotal Register living at Fulham - Trinette Taylor 1966 Died in London

Tony I have informed Terry Denham, who is involved in In From The Cold Project http://www.infromthecold.org/about_us.asp He has confirmed that he will contact CWGC to sort Trinnette's entry out, so you can be assured that it in hand, but, as he tells me, it could take some time to go through the procedures involved
