Remembered Today:

Which barracks in Norwich?

Thank you everyone for your contributions.

I have a much clearer idea of what might have happened to David Soutar Smart.

It is interesting the different key points picked up from the inquest by different newspapers.

I don't think any of the papers which I read mentioned that he was last seen leaving a pub in the Market Place.

Peter, seaJane,

To my great shame I have never visited Norwich but the photos and history you've so kindly provided make me think I've been missing out on a lovely spot and I must clearly rectify this.

It is lovely - I go there reasonably often as my father lives in Ludham on the Broads. Among other things of GW significance in the cathedral is the grave of Edith Cavell. It used to be a tiny flower-filled corner of garden by the transept, and I rather regret that they have smartened it up so much.

Thanks Jane (and everyone else) for the pictures,

I was supposed to be seeing something of Norwich (including Pull's Ferry) last September before and after going to a wedding. However I was ill immediately before so the visit had to be reduced to the wedding only.
