Unfortunately I haven't found them separated from ICRC etc Record set "prisoners of war 1715-1945" wiill get you everything. Could put a 'when' date of 1916+/-2yrs then perhaps in the keyword 'Liverpool' and successively Lieutenant, Captain, Major. It will still pick up ICRC as well but that may be of use ? -edit- sometimes!!-eg I know Carson has an ICRC card indexed by FMP but it is not showing in the 122 results below. probably under Lt or something else ?(Ah -FMP havent put his rank when transcribing ICRC but have for Cox's !) eg for Lieutenant 122 results here just click on 'view' charlie Edited 25 November , 2019 by charlie962
MBrockway Posted 14 January , 2020 Share Posted 14 January , 2020 List No 1 from Lahr POW Camp was produced by the camp on 23 May 1918. It contains 200 names, mostly officers, but with some ORs at the end - possibly used as officers' orderlies? The vast majority were captured on 21 Mar 1918 or shortly afterwards, although I believe the camp was opened in 1917. Many of the POWs appear to have gone through the RASTATT transit camp between capture and arrival at Lahr. Rastatt is about 40 miles north of Lahr in the Rhine Valley. On the ICRC site, it begins at PA 26210 here: Start of Lahr List #1 and ends at PA 26228 here: End of Lahr List #1 If you scan these 18 pages, you'll see several KLR officers. TTracer44 Posted 15 January , 2020 Author Share Posted 15 January , 2020 Hello Mark, Ken, and Charlie, apologies are in order, I haven’t been watching this post, reason being my friend passed away late last year and he never said we’re he had got the Cox’s list from and I hadn’t wanted to bother him as he was poorly in hospital, I don’t have contact with anymore of the family so the quest to find this chap is off the radar now.
