manxsapper1915 Posted 3 August , 2018 Share Posted 3 August , 2018 The lads of the First Manx Service Compay, part of the 2nd Cheshire Regiment in Salonika ,were issued goat skins in the winter of 1916; they wrote home stating they kept them warm, but the smell when wet was pretty unpleasant!
