I do not know if this is a Regiment marking,looks strange to me,Anyone's guess?

Looks like a serial/rack number V123, possibly indicative of Turkish (or other) use, where numbering on the crossguard seems very common.

Aha... A double post... See: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/topic/208575-german-unit-bayonet-markings/?page=15 I am working backwards from 4 weeks worth of posts and threads... Apologies... I'd like to see a full-length picture just to be certain it is not some strange S.American model. Unlikely to be Turkish as they used Ersatz or 98/05 - in my experience.
