Colin Worswick Posted 25 November , 2018 Share Posted 25 November , 2018 Yes, thanks Tony. I visited the library and found my great uncles obituary and photo, but sadly not my great grandad.

Colin Worswick Posted 29 November , 2018 Share Posted 29 November , 2018 John Murphy 18 May 1915. Irish Guards 1st Battalion. The library don’t allow you to look for yourself. They look for you, because the information is kept in a locked room. Thanks Tony.
familyhistoryman Posted 29 November , 2018 Share Posted 29 November , 2018 Colin I would suggest that email the library and mark it for the attention of Mary Painter (Community Librarian). You could mention that I (Tony Foster) suggested that you contact her. The Library will be able to provide you with a copy of the obituary notice. As there is no image on the cottontown website suggests that none never appeared in any of the Blackburn newspapers. Tony
