You're welcome.  The area is of particular significance for us as one of my wife's great uncles was mortally wounded just to the right of the last photo above.  He is buried even further away - in Etretat near Le Havre, having been passed down the evacuation trail.

Hi, I did pm you to have a look at your file, please. I too use NLS to look at the site of coal mines in my local area of Cannock and only recently discovered that there are also WW1 maps on there.
