Jim Strawbridge Posted 26 January , 2023 Share Posted 26 January , 2023 As an aside I was in Oxfordshire a few years back to photograph a grave in a Quaker cemetery. Not being able to find the cemetery I stopped and asked a resident and made the mistake of calling it a headstone. I was told that with Quakers the grave marker was often set at the foot of the grave and not the head. Unlikely to be the case with CWGC Friends graves but mine was a civilian so to this day I don't know which way the grave ran from the grave marker.
