Help wanted to find RAMC soldier, Joseph Lomax

Still no joy finding Joseph.The absent voter lists for Bury which probably would have contained Radcliffe were destroyed.

I have not discounted the Bolton on moor connection as it looks farily postive but am waiting for confirmation from my friend.

Joseph worked as in a paper mill after the war and he died in April 1953. I have searched the probate records and annoyingly he isnt there but there is a John Thomas Lomax listed dying the day after in the same small town!

Does anyone know what papers I could search for the funeral details in 1953 it may mention other relatives. I have looked at the Bury times but the on line archive only goes back 10 years. I have used find my past for newspaper searchs but havent come up with anything.
