WWI Purple Hearts are increasing in value quite a bit - and as they were authorized in 1932, most on the market are for men wounded in action. WWII Purple Hearts are entirely different. A KIA purple heart brings a much higher price. WIA Purple Hearts from WWII are very slow to sell in comparison. When you think about it, though, it is nice to know that after the family and friends are all gone, there will always be a collector out there to remember and honor the service of the individual who made that sacrifice.
