Hi,

Tyneside Scottish had their own "cap" badge but TI used normal NF cap badge. You sometimes see photographs with "harp" collar badge.

Just had a thought, if he was in the 4th tyneside Irish would he not have had an irish capbadge in the above picture instead of the fusilier one?

No - they wore the standard Northumberland Fusiliers cap badge, with a special shoulder title, which was the Battalion numeral above the Tyneside Irish Harp, with NF below - 27/HARP/NF
