Dannemois Posted 19 September , 2013 Share Posted 19 September , 2013 can someone please give me a description of where exactly Le Quesne Farm or Rue de Bois was; Belgium or France.
redbarchetta Posted 19 September , 2013 Share Posted 19 September , 2013 Per the thread below, Le Quesne Farm is 'near Armentieres', so would be France. http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=143883

ulsterlad2 Posted 19 September , 2013 Share Posted 19 September , 2013 There are places called Le Quesne and Rue du Bois on the Bois Grenier area trench maps. Here's a image from the NA Trench Map Atlas.
centurion Posted 19 September , 2013 Share Posted 19 September , 2013 I assume your enquiry is related to "The last Absolution of the Munsters" ? If so whilst there are a number of places in Belgium with the same names the particular location you want close to Aubers Ridge in definitely in France. There is at least one Wiki entry that places it in Belgium as the author seems to think that all of Flanders in in Belgium and this may cause confusion - Wiki does contain errors!
