Ron Clifton Posted 29 June , 2013 Share Posted 29 June , 2013 Steve The Royal cypher E II R on the third and fourth swords clearly point to post 1952. Could the third one be a contemporary Household Cavalry sword? The fourth one is definitely a British general's sword, the pattern of which hasn't changed for over 150 years. If you contact Wilkinson's, they may even be able to tell you, from the number 7455, to whom they sold it! Ron
khanda Posted 11 September , 2013 Share Posted 11 September , 2013 The 4th sword is a Mameluke styled sabre adopted by the French and British after their campaigns in Egypt.
