Hi.

I am looking for 10th Bn Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders either side of 20/06/1916.

I have tried Nat Arch, but part i need WO95/1768 is not yet digitized.

If any forum member can help me i would be very greatful.

Researching Pte.10070. Edward Vernon McKenna. found his medal card on Ancestry, which notes he 'Died'.

But cannot find any record on CWGC or SDGW.

which seems to have taken a very nasty twist.

However

13 at Estree Blanch resting

14 resting

15 Entrained at Lillers 4.51am for Longeau near Amiens.Detrained there 5.30pm and marched to Corbie. All in at 8.30pm.

16 Battalion marched from Corbie to Bois-les-Colestines and left Corbuie 2.15pm.

17 Battalion resting at Bois-les-Colestines.

18 battalion marched by platoons with 2 minutes intervals to Bray Sue Somme, left 9.30am arrived 11.45am. Orders to parade 2 companies at 8.30pm to proceed to Cambridge Copse to dig assembly trenches. "A" and "B" Companies left at 8.30pm and returned 6.15am on 19th inst.

19 Battalion in billets at Bray. "C" and "D" Companies left at 7.30am for work on Assembly Trenches returned 4.30pm. "B" Company left at 7.30pm to work on Assembly trenches, returned 6.15am 20th inst. 2nd Lt. Hillier, Roche and Graham and Lt. Graham joined battalion.

20 "A" and "D" Companies left at 7.30am for work on assembly trenches, returned 4.15pm.

21 3 companies digging assembly trenches 7.15am to 6pm. One company night work on West Avenue from 7.30pm - 6.15am 22 inst.

No mention of any casualties or accidents etc so probably an illness,
