hello gk,

yes the 9.20 one, he won the dcm twice as a sgt with the 8th rifle brigade and then commisioned and killed as 2nd lt

the book 'the fallen of oldbury , langley & warley 1914-1918' by langley local history society lists enoch holyoake associated with oldbury westley chapel, so would say that is where the memorial is from. the book also states article in 'oldbury weekly news' newspaper on his death with newspaper photo on 27/4/17.

Many thanks for taking the time to post, and you sharing your research. So i take it that this is not Enoch Hollyoak as i first suggested.

I have been a little lazy myself on this thread given my research load. I need to look into it further thanks to you all...
