Chris,

Sorry I've been no help lately, been away and all sorts of stuff. You could well have another non-com here though.

Harry is not listed in the book - the New Zealand Expeditionary Force Roll of Honour. His service records are not open on Archway, however, he is listed on the Auckland War Memorial Museum Cenotaph Details as follows:

Andy

thanks for the reference. Do not worry about you not being able to help with our other project; I know that your job takes up a lot of time. The above does not look right for a Brigade Surgeon. More digging is required.

Chris,

There is a lot of biographical info on him........ everything bar his death.

Google his full name or by initials, in quotes.

However, I did come across this old GWF thread and it may be worth following up the email address in post #6.

Chris,

There is a link here that may provide some assistance.

When doing the search it came up with the following info:

Registration Number 1917/4592

Family Name De Lautour

Given Name(s) Harry Archibald

Date of Birth/

Age at Death 68Y

From there you have to order the DC at a cost of $26.00 NZ.

Cheers Andy.

Chris,

What does the DC look like, ie: is it a scan in colour or black and white? Is it a photocopy? and what other info is on them.

Cheers Andy.

Have a look on Archway. Service records not open, but you may be able to request to get the put onto the link.
