King Edward Horse

Hi all

I am, on behalf of the son, researching the career of a Private Marshall Blamey, no. 1916, who, having served in German South West Africa, went over to the UK in 1917 and served with King Edward Horse.

I know very little about this outfit (only what I could glean from the LLT) but would be grateful if anyone can give me an idea of what these chaps got up to from mid 1917 (the time Blamey joined)

Apparantly he was aclosed book about it all and his son would like to know more.

Regards

Rory

Rory,

I can't help with what they were doing in 1917, but he is listed here-

This may also be of interest-

and its worth doing a search on the forum search engine. Here is one thread concerning them-

They appear to be one of those units you have to search around for information. There were a fair few Australians in the unit.

Regards,

Scott
