Chris_Baker Posted 5 April , 2010 Share Posted 5 April , 2010 thought it was shut down by the CWGC ages ago It wasn't/couldn't be shut down by CWGC as it is not their website. Geoff 'scraped' the data from the CWGC database to create his own, and it is that which you search when using his site. He did temporarily close it when the CWGC made that awful boo-boo on introducing a change to their website some months ago, because the links to the individual casualty pages no longer worked. He reinstated it when the CWGC put things back as they were.

rollofhonour Posted 8 April , 2010 Share Posted 8 April , 2010 Sadly it looks like his repairs are taking longer than expected as it's still down. Can't complain though as the engine has saved me so much time when researching memorials.
