Army List lookup please

Hi all,

I am trying to find out more about a Major who is in a couple of photographs left by my great-grandfather. He was in the East Surreys, possibly/probably the 5th Battn and I expect he would have signed up in Ashtead/Epsom, Surrey before December 1914.

Does anyone have a list of Majors in the East Surrey's for that period? By method of elimination I might be able to find out who he is.

Only 2 in 5th Bn - W H Bagshaw TD & W A Gillett. Can`t see any majors (or captains) with initials PLB.

Thanks Phil. I'll look them up on CWGC and the censuses. Doesn't sound promising tho' does it. Maybe he's not in the 5th.

I couldn`t see any in the other battalions either.
