He was in the East Surreys, possibly/probably the 5th Battn and I expect he would have signed up in Ashtead/Epsom, Surrey before December 1914. http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/i...howtopic=135202 The postcard was dated Dec 1914 and indicates they were training at that time. He signed the card P.L.B (v. helpful ) Does anyone have a list of Majors in the East Surrey's for that period? By method of elimination I might be able to find out who he is.
