ian turner Posted 18 February , 2009 Share Posted 18 February , 2009 Then it looks like you are out of luck in terms of service records, and his MIC will be the only official document - of course you can view the actual medal roll at Kew, (which the card is an index for) but that seems unlikely to further your knowledge. A long shot, but it maybe worth trawling through the local newspaper archive for where he lived, in case there was a write-up about his joining or return from overseas.
