Capt Findlay - Kiwi in the East Surrey Regiment

I'm currently trying to find information about the Great War Service of Captain James Lloyd Findlay who served in the East Surrey Regiment from 1914 to 1917, before transferring to the RFC. More details are in the following thread http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/i...howtopic=116862 in the War in the Air Section, but I thought I'd check with the Army guys (I'm one myself) as you may be able to shed further light on his pre-RFC service. I'm particularly interested to see if a citation for his Military Cross is available.
