Hi Scott,

I could realize it now. Here is the grave-stone of R. Millar.

Hello Scott,

it was my pleasure. Others already have done their best to help me in the past.

Here is another shot of the cemetery.

Best wishes

Fritz

QUOTE (fritz @ Jan 21 2009, 01:26 AM) Hello to all waiting for desired pics,

today I was able to take the pics in Niederzwehren. It was a cloudy and wet Sunday and I hope you will be content with their quality.

Frederick Riley should have a new tombstone.

Best wishes

Fritz

Hi Fritz

Many thanks for the picture of Lieut Dennistoun. The quality's terrific.

Best regards

Hello Atnomis,

thank you for this snippet. It´s now in my archives. I think information like this let us see not only the headstone but the man.

Kind regards

Fritz

Dear Fritz

I have been researching into the life and war service of Jim Dennistoun for a book on some of Scott's men in World War I. I've read the book about Jim and know that his cousin Herbie Russell was very grateful for the treatment and assistance they received in the hospital when Jim was ill. I will be including photographs of the memorials to the other people who died from Scott's party in the war (Jim is the only one with a grave, the others died at sea), but don't think I'll be able to go the cemetery in person. I've only found a general photo of the entrance, so wondered if you would agree to my using your picture (with a credit, of course, if you would like). Vielen Danke und alles bestes, Anne

Welcome to this forum, Anne. Yes, you may use my pics, without credit.
