Hi John

Book will be in post tomorrow morning, signature and bookmark added :D

My Opinion I didn't enjoy the book and not a patch on Somme Mud, but enjoyed the whole experience of passing the book around to read

Regards Doug.

Caryl,

Looks like you're next (after me)!

Send me a PM with your address. You won't get it until 2010, though. ;-))

Just to say thank you John, the book arrived safely and I'm already half way through the book (sorry my PM box is full, we've had Broadband problems in our area so could not get online)

I'm enjoying the book and finding it easy to read, full of detail and makes me want to read Somme Mud

I'm a fairly fast reader so Adrian whom I think is next in line had better PM me his address please

Interesting bookmarks and cards, love the whole idea of this and have enjoyed taking part

Don't forget to sign the back of the book, and include a bookmark when you send it on.

The number of bookmarks may well soon exceed the number of pages!

Oh Bruce, does that mean I don't get to keep all those lovely bookmarks? Thought that was part of the deal *sulk*

Seriously though, I already have my 'bookmark' lined up, but must remember to put them all back in the book before posting it off. Have taken them out and put them somewhere safe. Now, if I can just remember where I.........(hehe)

It must be nice to get something further down the line (apart from having to wait of course). You get to see who's had it, how far it's been and what everyone's put in it.

I must remember not to be quite so quick off the mark next time!

Hi All,

Is anyone in touch with Adrian58.

He emailed me some weeks ago to ask for my address to send "Footsteps" but I was on holiday at the time.

I did message him but have heard nothing back so if anyone knows him and can give him a nudge for me I would appreciate it!

It is available on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Footsteps-Private-Lynch-Will-Davies/dp/0553824155

I must admit I read a bit in my local Waterstones and was a bit put off by the introduction where the author talks about going to France and meeting a couple of collectors in a cafe who have been going over to France for many years. That just didn't feel right to me.

Michelle don't let that put you off, I would be interested in thoughts about the book, I'm not sure about it but can't put my finger on why.

I suspect one of the 'Englishmen' could well have been an Irishman - gone but certainly not forgotten.

"Footsteps" has arrived today!

Hopefully shouldn't take too long to read if the last book was anything to go by then on it's way to the next member.
