Off at a slight tangent, but in case anyone wondered if the punters shown are genuine, then yes they are.

I used to work with a woman who is in the last batch (shown up till a few month ago). Think she got 50 quid for being filmed and another 50 as they included her in the advert.

My impression of such companies is that you end up paying more over a longer period of time, albeit in smaller monthly payments. (I assume that the company takes over your existing debts and adds a management fee and/or profit margin.)

Next time you see one of these adverts, read the small print on the screen. They usually give you an example of how much you pay.

If you borrow £25,000 for eample, you end up paying back about £45,000!
