chrisharley9 Posted 24 September , 2005 Author Share Posted 24 September , 2005 First of all thanks for the answers gentlemen Harry, as I'm in Peterborugh 3 times a week this shouldnt be a problem. Can i assume they are not on SDGW because they became the RAF in 1918 & if this is so why is there RFC ODGW? All The Best Chris

Dolphin Posted 25 September , 2005 Share Posted 25 September , 2005 Comrades The book is Airmen Died in the Great War 1914-1918, compiled by Chris Hobson, ISBN 0 871505 81 X. The excellent work covers all members of the five Empire aviation services who died, ie the RFC, RNAS, RAF, WRAF and AFC. In the foreword, the author says not all RFC and RAF officers are covered in Officers Died and that the other ranks were just about totally omitted from Soldiers Died.
