Hello,

I'm trying to trace this chap and have come up against a brick wall.

I have his medal card from Ancestry, but only that (plus some references in the 5th Leicestershire history).

Does anyone have any other information they could share?

Raich

P.S. I've looke for details of his commission in the London Gazette to no avail, plus I've tried to find his record in the TNA index again to little sucess.

Raich,

There's a Samuel Henry Dennis in the Leicesters on the Service Record section of Ancestry. The first couple of pages don't really tell us too much 'cause of the damage. I'll download them and if you PM me your e-mail address I'll send it on.

Les

EDIT - Scratch that - this Samuel Henry Dennis was a Private in the ASC.... he only came from Leicestershire.

I have however had a dig on Ancestry for 1901 census details, marriages and deaths. Below are my findings.......

The system is stopping me uploading a few more pics (of possible marriages). If they are possible use, PM me your e-mail address anyway and I'll send 'em on.
