VAD Hospital - Winslow, Bucks Area

Hi

Does anoyne know if there was a VAD hospital in this area of North Bucks in November 1918?

I'm trying to research Robert Charles Cook, (9 Norfolks), who died from his wounds on 11/11/1918 and is buried in his home village of Winslow. The local paper reported that his funeral was attended by the VAD Commandant, Miss. Lambton. I believe that the Lambtons were a well to do family in the Winslow area at the time.

Thanks

Hi Kitty

Not sure really, could've been Dorothy. Anyway have now traced Roberts place of death as 3rd Southern General Hospital, Oxford.
