ss002d6252 Posted 25 April , 2015 Share Posted 25 April , 2015 While this is an old thread (and a search didn't reveal any others) I recently came across an entry in the report dated the 10th October 1915 written Lieutenant G A L Hatton of the Royal West Kent Regiment following fighting at Gun Trench ... " 6. All the Germans seen in this trench during the last week have been dressed in khaki." Anyone found anything similar in other accounts following actions? In April 1915 the 8th DLI reported that same at St Julian - Craig
Peter Zieminski Posted 25 April , 2015 Share Posted 25 April , 2015 Thanks Craig - Interesting to see if there are any reports that exist detailing what happened to those Germans captured wearing Khaki ...
ss002d6252 Posted 25 April , 2015 Share Posted 25 April , 2015 I'd be curious to find out re any Germans- but I'd suspect a lot of Germans in Khaki were probably British. Craig
