Guest fje47 Posted 13 February , 2004 Share Posted 13 February , 2004 Henry Eastham from Preston, Lancashire was my grandfather. He was born in Preston on 12/8/1893, and would have been about 21 in August 1914. He served in the Lancashire Fusiliers. He survived the war. I know he was in Herne Bay, Kent, at some point, as that is where he met my grandmother. I believe he was married in St Mildred's in Canterbury. I do not know the year, but their first child was born in 1916. I am hoping that someone may be able to tell me something about his service details - battalion, dates of service, where served, action etc. Frank Eastham
John_Hartley Posted 13 February , 2004 Share Posted 13 February , 2004 Frank Welcome to the Forum. If you click on the link to The Long Long Trail (top left of this page), it will take you to the mother site. If you then click on "grandads war", you'll be able to establish what it might be possible to find out. Good luck. John
