I attach photographs left to me by my father of himself and others of the 1/22nd Battalion London Regiment (The Queen's) at Oppy Wood. Does anyone recognise others in the photos? (My father, Pte Sidney Hewett, is second left in the first and on the right in the second.) The third photo is clearer. My father is in the middle - excused puttees.

The first two pictures have Oppy Wood (Arras) written on the back but I am not sure where the larger photograph was taken. The young men look rather smart so it could have been in England.

Any information would be very welcome as all my father's generation died before I saw the photographs.
