Kathie Posted 11 February , 2004 Share Posted 11 February , 2004 I am researching twenty names on the Great War section of the memorial in Port Alfred which has soldiers from two Frontier Wars, the Boer War and two World Wars - as always the same family names each generation. This is for fun and I am a real amateur - any suggestions how to build up an intersting and personal picture of each one. I am trying schools, the local univeristy, flyers in the villages for family members, the local penny mail of 1914-1918, the War Mueum. Is there a respository for diarie, letters etc where I might find mention by other soldiers of any of them - they may have bene on leave, travelled, been in a casualty station or just been friends?
