stevem49 Posted 21 April , 2008 Share Posted 21 April , 2008 I am booked on a trip in September. If anyone has used a certain Rotherham Company to visit Gallipoli, could they PM me please. I wanted to do my own thing but illness means that I have to use a Company to travel with. They mention that one day is spent at Troy but I would prefer to use this time on Gallipoli. Is that possible. Has anyone encountered any problems taking a wreath/crosses etc. Any help, advice etc would be welcome. Regards Steve M (aka Morse) Mods - If I have put this in the wrong place please feel free to move it
chrisharley9 Posted 21 April , 2008 Share Posted 21 April , 2008 Steve Re crosses & wreaths I had no problems taking them over there when using said company however at Heathrow the wreaths have to be checked in as hold baggage - if you want further info pm Paul Reed Chris

cockney tone Posted 21 April , 2008 Share Posted 21 April , 2008 Steve, I visited Troy on my trip and found it interesting, but personally I really found 2 hours more than enough to be honest! I have no experience of the Company you mention but should you decide to cancel I would recommend a company that specialise on walking tours. Don't know if my ramblings are still on the Forum but i posted a travelogue of my exploits that may be of interest to you! Have a great trip. Regards, Scottie. stevem49 Posted 22 April , 2008 Author Share Posted 22 April , 2008 Hi Scottie I read your 'ramblings' and found them most interesting. A walking tour is not an option for the forseeable future but I hope to do that once I am 100% again. The Troy bit includes the chance to shop I may have to do it to keep my wife happy.
