You need to be much more specific: there were many versions: regular seven years and five, TF, SR 4, 6 and latterly 1 year .... and the equivalent 'record of service' for a conscript who did not attest because he did not voluntarily join.

Which version did you have in mind?

Hi Grumpy,

I think it says form B138/11 and it's Short service,2 years of colours 10 of reserve, 3years or attestation. I hope it's enough info.

Cheers Grumpy.

I am away from my sources: from memory, 2 and 10 were a long time before the Great war. I s there a date on the document?

Grumps,

I've magnifyed and still can't get a date. Although I think it's typed with the letters S H in the top left corner,I also think it says the Royal engineers and Army Service Corps Driver as it's heading,he joined up on the 8/10/14 in Sunderland.

Hope it's enough,Many thanks Grumpy.
