Doing my usual pre work rounds I came across this chap. They were finishing off filming for what will be a high profile BBC documentary due for the 90th anniversay of the Armistice.

A good man our Michael...a fine ambassador for our country.

In my humble opinion, he ought to be a Sir.

Many more less well deserving bods are....

Ivan.

Oo I shall look out for that.

I too agree that he should be made a Sir, (but not Sir Lancelot or Sir Not Appearing in this Film)....

Too late! He was Gawain the Pure! "I'm here to rescue you, Gawain..." "It's all right Lancelot, I don't need saving just yet.."

UNCLE BILL, its surprising just who makes it to Thiepval. Many Julys ago I took part in the memorial service there as a member of the Khaki Chums. Afterwards we were surprised to see Percy Toplis himself. (of course I got his autograph , for the mrs you understand  )I look forward to the TV programme "MO"

Its the monocled mutineer in one of his confounded diguises! This time as a 21st Century actor! The cad! Quick, arrest that man!

When I was at Theipval I met Professor Richard Holmes of "War Walks" and "Western Front" fame (among others). Mind you....I suppose he goes there a lot!
