At Home Dad Posted 17 March , 2008 Share Posted 17 March , 2008 Hallo All Are there any details of a memorial to the men of the West Ham area in general and is there one specifically for the men of the 13th (S) Bn, the 'West Ham Pals'? I have in my mind that I read somewhere that stated there isn't a thing for the West Ham Pals at all. I'm wondering if there was once something which was later destroyed in the Blitz. Any information appreciated Kind regards
Madweasel Posted 17 March , 2008 Share Posted 17 March , 2008 I believe there is a memorial to officers and men of the Essex Regiment in general at ALL SAINTS CHURCH CHURCH ST WEST HAM GREATER LONDON ENGLAND E15 Check out the United Kingdom National Inventory of war Memorials web site http://www.ukniwm.org.uk If you search 'place' by "West Ham", make sure you put quotation marks around it or you will get every 'West' in the country!!! js
