4thGordons Posted 6 March , 2008 Share Posted 6 March , 2008 She is listed in "Soldiers of the Great War" p359 (nothing but her name) and Norwich. Ancestry has a record of her also: Mary Cairns Nurse, Utica, Oneida County NY. (from Source Information: Cuccinello, Karen. Oneida County, New York Servicemen, 1917-19 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: The Generations Network, Inc., 1999.) There does not appear to be a record of her in the American Battlefields and Monuments database which may mean her remains were repatriated for burial in the US or that she is buried outside an official ABM cemetery. There is a recent reprint of the "Honor roll for Oneida County" which may well include Ms Cairns and might also have a photograph. There is a copy avaiable currently on AbeBooks. Best, Chris
