On a Church war memorial in Folkestone Kent among the long list of male names is the name of Phyllis Deck .....Sister.

I have found he living with her family in Folkestone in the 1901 census and also found her death via one of the family history on line sites as being in the Folkestone area at the end of 1918.

I can find no service or medal index card for her online so i imagine that she did not serve overseas, but in one of the many Hospitals set up around this area during the first war.

I am pleased to see that her name is on the memorial and that the work she carried out was recognised by the people at the time but i was just hoping that someone on her may be able to give me more info on her or perhaps some ideas as to where to look.

thanks

peter
