Hello - I am searching for information/photo of Annie Catherine Starr

All I know is that she was born in 1883 and enlisted on March 8th 1918

as a nursing sister.

Any information very gratefully received.

With best wishes,

She doesn't seem to show up anywhere online - what did she 'enlist' into in 1918, and where does the information come from?

Sue

Hello Sue - I have just been told by a friend in Canada that she enlisted in

Winnipeg Manitoba. Friend is not able to tell me more.

Thank you for looking.

Sorry - I was being dim and should have realised by the use of the word 'enlist' that she was a Canadian and not a Brit. I assume that you've seen her online attestation form - I think it should be possible to get a copy of her papers in the same way as the men.

Hello Sue - Doh! I cant think why I did not try the Canadian site.

I can only think I have been having a mature moment.

Thank you for all your efforts.

Best wishes,

Old Jack
