Kerry Stockbridge Posted 18 February , 2008 Posted 18 February , 2008 Does anyone have a trench map for the above time period or part therefore for the area near Villers-Plouich,La Vacquerie (Welsh Ridge),Crevecouer in France? I am, in particular, interested in the starting positions of the NZ Division on the 29th of September (Hindinburg Line battle), as this was the date that my relation died. Many thanks Kerry
johnreed Posted 19 February , 2008 Posted 19 February , 2008 Kerry I am sorry this is the best I can do, I doubt very much that you will get a Trench Map of 1918. John
Kerry Stockbridge Posted 19 February , 2008 Author Posted 19 February , 2008 Hi John Thanks for the map. I know that 1918 isn't the best year for trench maps due to the more fluid nature of the war then, but I thought I would give it a go. Thanks again Kerry
Smithmaps Posted 19 February , 2008 Posted 19 February , 2008 Kerry Have Faith, it is a 20,000 scale Trench Map from LinesMan 20, Namely 57CSE Edition 6F of 200818 Soon to be available John. I have split it into two, as I am struggling to get below 100KB. I'm hoping the Forum does its usual trick of combining two posts at 100kb each. Cheers Guy
Kerry Stockbridge Posted 20 February , 2008 Author Posted 20 February , 2008 Thankyou so much ... I will join the two images, and see if I can make sense of the map in relation to what I have from/will have from the unit diary.
