Dave_oram Posted 13 February , 2008 Share Posted 13 February , 2008 Was there a 169 P.O.W Company Pte A Barnett 42333 South Staffs Reg I have been looking through the service records of the above South Staffs guy who enlisted in Burslem, on 8th December 1915. On 26th April 1918, he was compulsorily transfered to the Bedford Reg & then posted to the 1/1st btn Bedfordshire Reg on 25th August 1918, under A.O.204/1916?? In the Service records there is a slight possibility that he was either a P.O.W or was posted to a P.O.W Camp to look after the P.OWs. (that's if I have read it right ) I have attached below, the part of the records that I am trying to work out, so if anyone has any idea's or explanations I would be greatful.
