Remembered Today:

Palliser at the Dardanelles

I have a book called The Dardanelles, Norman Wilkinson, Longmans Green 1916 which contains superb watercolour paintings of the conflict especially the ships. The fly-leaf is inscribed: B.H.P.Palliser from (I think) RFEP, presumably Palliser, with the note : The illustrations are very like the reality. This indicates that the donor was there and possibly a ship's officer. Who was he? Anyone know anything about the Pallisers?

If the first initial were an 'A' (and not an 'R'), then that being so, the book may have been given by, and inscribed by, this chap
