pbman22 Posted 1 February , 2008 Share Posted 1 February , 2008 Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I was reading a first hand account of officer at the battle of Arras in 1917, which I had found on the internet, unfortunately I have lost the data and I am now having incredible difficulty tracking it down. If anyone could help me that would be great. From what I can recall I think it was an account from an officer in the 9th Division. I think, however the account was defiantly from a Scottish regiment. I think that the name of the Guy was something like Lindsey Mackay, it defiantly had Lindsey in it. If anyone could assist me in this matter I would be grateful. Thanks. Alan Tucker Posted 1 February , 2008 Share Posted 1 February , 2008 Robert Lindsay Mackay. Diary from Somme Sept 16 through to the end. Includes Arras. Argyll and Sutherland Highlander. Search for his descendant's web site with the diary and other info. It is all good stuff. I used it in my school for many years.
