BTW, I think it's about time to choose the February title... volunteers?

(takes one step forward)

Me, Sir!

How about "They Also Serve". I'm going to leave this broad. It could be non-combatants, soldiers, sailors, airmen not involved in actually using arms, civilians, families back home.

Nice idea, Michael! And I guess animals in war would also fall under your suggested title, which could be interesting and a little different!

Yes, that is correct, George, but out of respect to you, none that have a little, big, horn.

Horses yes - animals with horns no!

Custer lost because his Horn was too Little - he could have blasted the Sioux if he'd had a Big Horn Vehicle:

You could do the lament of a Labour Corps Victory Medal, that no one wants to buy.

Is that a complete list?

I did request a clarification on your entry, but never got a reply. In your post, you gave another author as a "source". Can you please solve this now?

Apologies, Landsturm, hadn't seen your query till you referenced it here. To clarify - the body of the post is Charlie Harrison's first-hand account, which is itself quoted in Laffin's 'Jackboot'. According to a letter I had from Laffin in the 1980's, Harrison's account has never been published in full, and is to be found in the Australian War Memorial, Canberra. No problem if quoting an original source doesn't qualify as an entry! :)
