Remembered Today:

German war and post-war art expo in Paris

For anyone in or near Paris in the next few weeks I can recommend an exhibition of German war and post-war expressionist art on show at the Musée Maillol on the rue de Grenelle (metro rue du Bac), which I went to this week.

There are works by Dix, including his famous series of wartime sketches, as well as Grosz, Beckman and others. Here is a link in English.

Thanks for that Martin. I might try and get to see it. I saw an Otto Dix picture from the underground train and wondered what it was.

Dear Chaps,

It is well worth seeing ! I visited also a display at the French national postal museum in Paris (near the Tour Montparnasse) about the franco-prussian war and both world wars.

See you soon
