Remembered Today:

42nd Divisional Information

Richard Fisher

Recommended Posts

Following a request for information regarding the 42nd Bn, Machine Gun Corps, I thought it would be prudent to make available a number of documents that I have that relate not only to the 42nd Bn, MGC, but to the wider 42nd Division as a whole.

I have scanned these in and they are available as mainly .jpgs with the Trench Orders as a (large) .pdf file. Should anybody wish for a smaller .pdf file of the Trench Orders then please do get in touch; however, I would recommend you try to download the (20MB) .pdf file if you can to preserve the detail of the original document.

I have many more Machine Gun-related documents at my Vickers Machine Gun website (http://www.vickersmachinegun.org.uk).

Regards

Richard

I couldn't get a connection to the documents. A shame as 42nd Div info is very scarce and I wanted to find out when they took over Gillemont Farm in April/May 1917 and how they then lost it>
