Good evening, Pals

I have downloaded Sep 17 WD for 69 MGC. Around 20 Sep a sub sect comd by 2Lt Holloway was in sp of A Coy 11 West Yorks. The detail is very faint, but looks like 'Strong Point C - The Chateau'.

Does anone have a trench map showing this area?

Cheers

Chris

Ii could be refering to the Chateau at Hooge?

John

Thanks, John, makes sense (Clapham Junction appears as a location elsewhere in the OpO and POR, as does JASPER Trench. However, I thought Hooge Chateau had long gone by time of Third Ypres. Would the location have retained the name, despite the absence of original building? Hmm, why not?

On all the trench map overlays at 1:10000 the Chateau at Hooge is marked as if it was still there into 1918 and I suppose references to the area would still use the name even though it had basically disappeared.
