Sue S Posted 3 December , 2007 Share Posted 3 December , 2007 I have been doing some research on Captain John Sydney Phillips M.C. South Staffordshire Regiment and would be very grateful if anyone knows of any photographs of him and what happened to him after the war. He was born in 1895 in Edgbaston Birmingham the son of Harry Phillip Phillips a bedstead and safe manufacturer of Birmingham and his wife Hannah. He attended King Edward V1 School 1907-1912 and was living at Berkswell Warks. at the time of the war. He initially enlisted in the Warwickshire Regiment but was commissioned into the Staffords. He may have followed the same trade as his father. His family were Jewish. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks. Sue
