Does anyone have any further info on this casualty?

Flt Cadet William Charles Redvers DANDO

Killed 22.10.18 while flying Avro 504 (E1640) with 2 TDS in the UK

Formerly Pte 38249 4 Bn, Royal Lancs Regt.

CWGC lists him as still being with the army and as missing on the Western Front 20.10.18. His name is on the Loos Memorial. "Airmen Died" has him as dying as per the above details but with 'burial place not known' making him look like a non-com. I assume the author never made a connection with CWGC's army entry.

I want to get him properly commemorated but need more info. I will get his death certificate but I would also like any service record still extant. Is anyone going to the NA before their Christmas closure who could spare time to look at any RAF record of this man or to see if his army record survives? Costs of any copying will be reimbursed. Sadly, I won't be able to get there myself in the next few weeks.

Interestingly, the man seems to have two death certificates - one saying he died in Scotland and one in France!
