raggedstaff Posted 21 January , 2004 Posted 21 January , 2004 I have just watched a repeated episode of Ground Force where the team did their usual work on the garden of an old soldiers' home. They then invited a veteran of the Great war to see the garden. The programme was first shown in 2002 and the soldier was said to be 106 and when interviewed by Alan Titchmarsh ( programme host) he said he had volunteered for the mother country and had served in Ypres and the Somme. I have used the search tool for Jamaica and the vets surname which is Clark(e) but could not find anything. Unfotunatly I missed his first name. Any pals know anything of this survivor. Raggedstaff
raggedstaff Posted 21 January , 2004 Author Posted 21 January , 2004 Christine yes that's him. Very interesting man. Read his story from the link but I am not sure that the dates and ages tally. Thank you for tracing him so quick. Raggedstaff
